Vacation Pay

I know that employers are not obligated to
pay accrued vacation time at the time of
separation and that it hinges on an "agreement
between the employer and employee". My
question is, what is meant by "agreement"?
And how do I find the agreement.

Vacation Pay When Terminated

In Texas, there has to be something in writing by the employer saying that it will pay an employee who leaves the job for accrued but unused vacation. Often, this kind of statement will be found in the employee handbook, or other policy-type materials that the employer provides. If it's not in one of those documents (to which you should have access), then you can always ask HR (or personnel).
