Laid off. Vacation pay policy inconsistent?
If my employer only offers to pay only my 'unused' vacation, but a previous employee was paid their 'accrued' vacation after after a layoff, does the Dept of Labor get involved if I file a claim? What happens if the company is found at fault for applying their vacation policy inconsistently? What would I collect at that point? Damages, etc?
I have not signed my agreement at this point. What happens if my offer expires and the company is found at fault afterward?
