what options do I have to prove discrimination?

I am a nurse(white) who has been employeed by a major healthcare company. A black female healthcare worker(non-nurse),given a position that is a "nurse position"...does not care for me...she reports to administration that I made racial slurs, "go be with your own kind". Never! I wouldnt and never have been a racist. I was fired! Do I have recourse? Is there anything that I can do to prove that these are false accusations and get my job back?

There are a variety of potential ways to contest your termination. Does the employer have an internal grievance and/or alternative dispute resolution program in writing? If so, I always recommend that folks avail themselves of such a program. Also ... you can possibly allege reverse discrimination and make a claim of same to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and/or the Kansas Human Rights Commission. Feel free to contact my office for assistance, should you so desire.
