WRONGFUL TERMINATION

MY POSITION WAS ELIMINATED AFTER 9 YEARS WITH THIS COMPANY. TWO HOURS AFTER MY POSITION WAS ELIMINATED, MY EX-BOSS APPOINTED SOMEONE TO THAT SAME POSITION.

I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT IF A POSISION IS ELIMINATED, THAT IT CAN'T BE FILLED FOR 6 - MONTHS LEGALLY.

I HAD A VERY CLEAN RECORD WITH THIS COMPANY FOR 9 YEARS.

PLEASE HELP.

THANKS

KEVIN

termination

In Texas, it is employment at will. This means an employer can fire you at any time for any reason, with a few exceptions. There is not requirement in Texas that the employer must wait six months to fill a job.
