My employer will cease operations next month in GA, although the company officers reside in NJ, and they offered severence which reads that I only get 50% if I leave before the plant closes - not a problem. I resigned to take a new job late August, since the plant is closing, but after leaving my previous employer says that they will not pay the promised severence until January of next year. Do I have any recourse to get it sooner?
