Is there a 24 hour time frame the former employer has to give you a copy of your seperation letter

I was terminated from my job after a co worker falsely written an evaluation on me. I was told the reason I was fired and signed the separation papers. State of TN does not require a reason for termination. My former employer gave me reason why and I was slandered, I requested my separation papers, but she would not give me a copy. She informed me they will be mailed. Isn't she required by law to give my copy to me within 24 hours?
