I was recently laid off and told it was because the position was eliminated. There were 4 people that held the same title (RVP Operations) and position that I did. 2 men and 2 women. The company eliminated the positions of the 2 women. One of the men was routinely provided privileges that the rest of us were not provided, and when that was questioned, I was told that he wasn't "really considered" to have the same position, just the same title. Both women are over 40 and have more technical skills and experience that the 2 men. Neither woman had ever had any disciplinary actions and I have always received good employee evaluations. Two weeks ago my boss told me that I was doing a good job. Do we have any recourse?
