How can I get my last paycheck from Taco Bell?

About 2 months ago, I worked at Taco Bell for about 3 1/2 weeks, and I have yet to recieve a single paycheck. I have kept in contact with the Manager, but he keeps writing me off. How do I take appropriate legal action? Am I due any compensation for (very)late wages?

You are entitled to your wages plus penalties for

You are entitled to your wages plus penalties for late payment of up to 30 days at your daily rate, if you file a claim with the labor board. hopefully your "contact with the Manager" has been in writing, and you kept copies, as this would be persuasive evidence to the labor commissioner that the withholding of wages was deliberate.
if you want to avoid filing a claim with the labor commissioner, try writing the franchisee corporation itself, rather than dealing with your individual manager. (s)he may be a dud.
