workers comp retaliation

Hello, My name is Omar I would like some information. I have been retaliated against by my workers compensation adjuster and she has been making my life a hell. I have gone on two separate occasions went without a check for one month. Then she refused to authorize my left shoulder surgery for like three months causing me to use my right shoulder to do all of the work causing me overcompensation which lead to my right shoulder requiring surgery. She then took a couple of months to authorize the right shoulder surgery too. My doctor finally got sick of her and threatend to file a formal complaint with the State of California for her interferance with my health. Then she finally authorized it. She took over four months to send me my mileage re-inbursement. Now the last mileage reinbursement I sent her on August of 2002 and to this date 03-18-03 she has not sent me my reinbursement. Also she gotten the company to refuse to pay me my payout vacation pay since my doctor filed me permanently injured and I cannot return to my usual duties, so he recommended Vocational Rehab. She has made my life impossible for me. My vocational rehab counselor got me to go to a retraining school. It was out of state but it was all approved. The adjuster was suppose to send me the money for the hotel and the airfare and she didn't send it until two weeks after I started the school. So I had to put the money out of my pocket until she sent me the money. Then I had a problem witht he school because she did not pay them so when I got to the school, I offered to pay them if in any case my adjuster didn't. She has just been retaliating against me from the start, and I was wondering If I could get some advice. These are just some of the things she has done to me, but their are lots more incidents. Please HELP..

good grief!

why are you doing this without a lawyer?
a workers comp attorney's fees are fixed by law. they do all this stuff for you. none of the hassles you describe are particularly unusual, and an attorney experienced with the carrier has ways of mitigating this.
i am not a workers compensation attorney. i do not know any in your area of richmond. but if you look on the california applicants' attorneys association (caaa) website, i believe they can direct you to member attorneys.
good luck
