severence pay

I recently got terminated for poor work performance after 24 1/2 years with the company, the poor work performance was due to mental impairment due to a family bereavement within 1 month previously, also due to the stress of the job, the impairment issue has been accepted by 2 managers verbally and they agree that they should have recognized it, my contract allows for severence pay, will I get it?

severance

It depends on the wording of the contract. You should get a local attorney to review the contract.
