Typically profit sharing agreement are either contractual or as a matter of policy. It sounds like you may have some paperwork suggesting that the company had a contractual obligation to pay you some sort of profit share. To collect the money owed to you you should have a lawyer make a formal demand on your behalf. If that fails, you may need to proceed with a lawsuit. In order to give you a more detailed response we would need to see what paperwork you have on the matter.

Nothing in this response is intended to create an attorney-client relationship. Moreover, this response is intended to be general and may or may not be applicable to your situation depending on the exact facts surrounding your issue. It is highly recommended that you seek the advice of counsel as soon as possible. If you would like to discuss this matter further with our office, please feel free to call us at 818-524-1223.
