What happens after I filed my charge with the U.S. District Court?

I have just filed my charge. The clerk gave me 2 forms; Process of receipt and return and summons in civil action. The clerk explained what I should do but I had a hard time understanding the procedure. This is so embarrassing. What happens now they have my charge? How long does this all take and when do I use these forms? I'm getting ready to subscribe to WestLaw but I want to be sure the court is actually going to process my charge first. Any help is appreciated. Thank You.

You really should hire a lawyer. This is not a process you want to undertake on your own.
