What actions could I take for mistreatment at a private club, an american legion?

Hello,
I would first like to thank you for taking the time to listen to my story. I worked at an American Legion (a private club) for about a year, until I recently quit. My boss had 3 of her children working in the kitchen with us, which was nepotism at its finest. Not only did they get scheduled off whenever they wanted they also had numerous "no call no shows". Not only did her children not have to work when they were scheduled, she would clock them in and out when they weren't there! My boss has a major drinking problem and would call me off hours and cuss and harass me for hours through calls and text messages, after about 2 months of this harassment I went to the board with my proof and concerns. To no avail they simply said that they weren't going to say anything to her because of the thought it would get worse for me. On a sunday I went into work for my normal shift 6:30 to 2pm, at 1:15 my boss can back into work and advised me that I could no longer serve there because her son needed more money, mind you he made the most and stealS money just like his mother does. Not only was I no longer allowed to serve but the board was going to watch my time carD because I was 5 minutes late the day before, when her son had 3 no call no shows the week before. Needless to say I left that day and didn't go back. Now they are telling people I got fired for things that aren't true! They are slandering my name all over this little town! I'm a single mother of a 2 year old little girl, I'm 23 years old and this is the first time I've ever felt used and saddened by being loyal to a company for a year! Any advise would be greatly appreciated, I just don't know what or even if I can do anything, please help!!
Thanks,
Brittany :)
