Position being eliminated, invited to apply for another position.
I have been working in my current position for almost 9 months. I received a call telling me my position is being dissolved, and am invited to apply for another unrelated position within the company. It’s not something I have experience in or want to pursue. They stated if I wasn’t chosen for said position that I would be given 2 weeks severance. My question is if I do not apply, can I be denied my unemployment?
