My previous employer told my future employer during a reference check that I was taking bi-polar medications & may not be stable to work around children. False statement completely, my previous employer is upset that I quit & turnt her in for the illegal

I worked for a preschool that was not filing DCF & early childhood coalition laws. I finally got fed up and decided to quit the job. Upon quitting I gave a 3 1/2 page report I had been making with each time the director was doing something illegal to the person in charge. I gave the notes to the lead pastor so they would know why I was leaving and what was really going on in his school. I was already employed for the school board as a substitute but when the board found out I had open availability i was offered a more permanent position for the following school year to come. The school where I applied had to do a more recent reference check. My last employer where I walked out & quit decided to tell the my new employer the reason I was no longer with them was because I was on medications for bi-polar disorder & she refused to answer if I was incapable for any reason to work with childen. I was never once repremanded while working under her, infact was always thanked for being a great teacher. I have never once taken bipolar meds. Now this has caused a speed bump for me with getting future employment
