My name is Isaac my check was short 6 days I worked 12 in the coner of my check it said your houly rate has been reduced I was never inform. intill I receive the check. Can I file a claim

My check was short 6 days n my hourly rate was changed with out noticed. I found out it was when I looked at my check. I was not paid for my 12days was only paid for six
it stated important notice on my check. Stateing important. Notice my houly rate been change can I file a claim. I have a copy of the check. N also the date clearly. Shows I worked. 12days

An employer cannot change your rate of pay until it advises you and you agree to the new rate. If they changed it without you knowledge or approval, contact a lawyer to reach out to the employer. You have a claim for unpaid wages which, in Florida, allows for the recover of attorney's fees and costs. Best of luck.
