In Florida if I am employed with an employee is it legal for them to take accrued PTO due to me changing to part time

I was full time I went back to school they approved schedule change to 32 hours per week but later stated I lost the PTO I earned prior to schedule change

Your entitlement to the PTO depends on how it was earned. If it was accrued they can be required to pay it out to you. If it was simply given to you, they are not required to pay it out. Hope this helps.
