If Education requirements change for position after hire? Can be terminated?

I have worked for a company 11 years. When I was hired the job requirements were: Bachelors Degree, Experience or any combination that gave the skills to do the job. I do not have a Bachelors degree. However, had 15 years experience (then) and 26 years experience now. The new HR Director is changing Job Descriptions to be Bachelor's Degree Required. And is removing the line any combination of experience / education. Can they now fire me, because I do not meet the minimum requirements. I have 11 years of Exceeds Expectations reviews. I turn 50 in March.
