I worked for Boeing in Washington State and was fired while on both company and my doc approved LOA . While I was on leave a got a misdemeanor for a minor charge that had nothing to do with work. Was it legal for Boeing to fire me and the union to not bac

I am also 100% disabled Veteran and Boeing knew that because I had entered it into my Boeing profile on the employee site. As well as I had also been on intermittent FMLA since 2012. Boeing had mailed me a termination letter the day after I was formally charged with my misdemeanor. And I had only done a couple days of jail, all was done while I was still on my APPROVED LOA. The Union, when I called them to back me up they refused to even help in any way shape or form. Was Boeing in it's legal right to fire me for something that was not job related and aren't I protected from being fired by being on approved LOA ? And shouldn't the union have backed me up ? I feel like I've been screwed outta a job because Boeing and the union were bias because of my criminal charge...
