Do we have a case?

My husband has worked for a company for just over 2 years and received multiple promotions due to his skills and abilities and work ethic. One day the shop foreman made a comment to him when he had a couple deaths in the family he said to my husband "What are you killing off you relatives to get time off?" Very inappropriate!! Well the foremans girlfriend who works there confronted him right there telling him it was uncalled for. Since then my husband has received poor treatment...been moved around and demoted. Then they put people in positions based on seniority. There are always postings of open positions and my husband has signed up for them and now they are putting people in those positions with less seniority than my husband. He consistantly is there when people do not show up and fills those positions because he is more than cabable however he gets treated very poorly. There are more details to this and I feel he is being personally discriminated against and makes for very intolerable working conditions for him.
