Can my employer use my medical test results as a requirement of employment.

I have been employed by my employer for 14 years. They new I was a diabetic when I was hired. I have had medication issues and adjustments made by my doctor and have had to see an Occupational Health doctor also. I have had low blood sugar readings while at work and had to leave to get treatment from work. My employer is now mandating that I disclose my diabetic A1C level to continue working for them. I did perform a fitness for work evaluation and passed it. I am not now or have I been performing the job they say I need to be able to perform to retain employment with them. They are just looking for a way to terminate me. What are they legally able to do?
