Can an employer repremand an employee for missing work for an illness when they have a doctors excuse.
I called into work and went to the er where I was given an excuse to be off for that day and the day following. In that time my place of employment failed a corporate inspection. Because I am a shift manager now my (but not the general manager) my full time hours taken and cut to 3 days a week as punishment for them being short handed and failing this inspection.
