Can a boss pay employees cash for per deim?

This employer has been paying his employees late (2 wks or more) with cash when payroll checks bounce. Once the payroll checks started bouncing, he started paying per deim in cash. He usually shorts his employees overtime pay or doesn't pay overtime at all. When his employees complain he threatens to fire them on the spot.

There are several labor code violations here. Consult a local labor law attorney about the remedies or file a complaint with the Labor Commissioner.

There are numerous Labor Code violations from what you report. Any employee who is fired for complaining about the conditions you outline could sue for wrongful termination.

Is this the same company where the boss has a prostitute come in a few days a week? How many people work at this place and what kind of a business is it?
