in florida i just recently put my two week notice IN and i have 82 hours of pto left and they are saying i am supose to use it or lose it > dont they have to pay me for it as in my offer letter that was signed it dosent state that i lose it ? l also have

i signed an offer letter 8 monthes ago and two points one was a sign on bonus to be paid 1250 per quarter to make a total of 5000. it dosent say if i leave i lose it as i signed with them and no where on offer letter does it have a time i have to stay with them for. also i have 110 hours on offer letter of pto . again no timetable can i lose it without them paying me for it even if they signed offer letter .. they also refused to let me collect tips when i was there as every other manager does because they said i make to much .

Depends on a couple of factors. One, language in the employee handbook could touch on this and, two, if it is not accrued over time then you have no legal claim for it. Reach out to a lawyer to discuss in greater detail. If you have a legal claim for it, it may be one that comes with the ability to recover attorneys fees which could allow you to purse this through counsel with no expense to you. Best of luck.
