how do I prove wrongful termination for title 9 in Michigan?

Hey Mel, So far I've been told that I don't have a case. Im hoping you can point me in the right direction. I worked for non-profit private university in Michigan for 5 years where I was a top admissions Advisor, internal marketing manager and social media ambassador. I had one complaint filed against me in the five year and was accused of Sexual harassment by a female student.

The school took her story first and then took mine. I was not made aware that it was a formal investigation until I had already started giving my statement. I thought I was having a conversation with my security manager, who did ask if I wanted a witness, and even told him I had nothing to hide. The incident occcures on August 31st, I gave my side of the story in Sept 6th and I was terminated for sexual harassment on sept 9th.

I was told my past performance and character profile played no part in the decision. I took notes after talking to the HR VP on sept 12th, and she told me it was determined by a title 9 rep and herself that after reading my statement and the students that I violated title 9.

Mind you, the student paid the 20 dollar application fee to sign up. The student accepted college related items and was even picky about which ones she wanted. The student started the entire conversation about inappropriate things. It wasn't until the next day that the student asked to work with someone else and filed her complaint.

I'm a graduate 3 times over from the college with a graduate degree in HR. I was fired to save face. I was fired because I'm a man.

Do I have a case? Thanks Mel!
