being fired for being 20 weeks pregnant

I'm 20 weeks pregnant, as soon as my bosses found out I was pregnant last week they told me I have 2 weeks left to work then I have to leave. Today, they took one of my three shifts away. They are slower forcing me out. I weigh 114 pounds, barely showing. Is this legal??

you appear to have a claim

it is unlawful under california and federal law to discriminate against an employee on account of their gender and/or pregnancy. furthermore, in california you have additional rights to extended leave for pregnancy- or childbirth-related disability, and to reinstatement at your same job at the end of that leave. you also may have rights under the california family rights act and family and medical leave acts, which have been violated.

you need to speak to someone experienced in employment law, and in particular in these leave laws. you can find someone in your area by going to the website of the california employment lawyers assn, www.celaweb.org, and clicking on the members list.
good luck
