Wrongful Termination - No Explanation

My boyfriend was called in for a meeting Monday morning, to find all his belongings packed and told that "his services were no longer required." ... seemingly for no cause. When asked, "we are not at liberty to discuss." Doesn't his employer have to site some cause for termination, even if it involves some corporate restructuring ??? Additionally, there is the issue of $50,000+ in potential commission on deals that he has been working on and are in the "pipeline."

Commission on termination

Regarding the commissions, your boyfriend is entitled to some or all of the commission depending on how much work he did on the commissionable sales. This may also depend on the terms of the commission agreement. My website explains a lot about commissions at http://www.harriskaufman.com/californiacommissionswages.htm.
