What recourse do I have after being demoted?

I was a happy employed manager at a large firm. I was contacted out of the blue and offered a new position that paid $10,000 more. I accepted and gave 2 weeks notice. At the end of a month , I learned that the person that I replaced was hired back and assuming his old position. Now I'm being demoted (with the same pay). I was moved out of the general offices and literally set up in an office in a large closet. I am certain that at the end of the next month ( after the busy season )I will be let go. The circumstances are: They could be a chance that this is age discrimination and oddly enough sexual discrimination as both the boss and the rehire are gay. I guess I didn't fit in. Any suggestions ?
