What do I do if my boss calls me an angry black women?
My boss and I were having a conversation about company coming to visit 2 days later. While asking a few questions to help clarify what it was that he wanted me to do, he was starting to get upset. I tried to tell him that I wasn't trying to be difficult but...and that's when he stops me in mid sentence to say, "Yes you are. You're just an angry black women." My boss is white and his wife is black. He has made this known on more than one occasion. However, the race of his wife has nothing to do with the job that we have to do or should even come up in the conversations that they do. I just want to know what do I do? If we had an HR Department I would contact them, but we don't.
