Unfair fmla treatment?

tell me that he has permanently replaced me and will have to find a place for me when I return from fmla. He mentioned a position lower than my current one. My twelve weeks are not up and my location/position has already been filled? I have an excellent record, 26 years of service and a male employee now has my job. My boss said depending on what's available when I come back...shouldn't the person who is filling in have to find what's available when I come back instead of me? I don't understand how he says he had to replace me permanently before my leave is even up? This male employees' store closed permanently so he had no place to go- so shouldn't that still be the case even tho I'm not back yet?
