Training others to do my job when i was told it was eliminated?

I was recently told that my job has been eliminated along with about 6 other group members in part of a 1500 person workforce reduction for a large corporation. I am in the middle of a 2 month period from the time I was notified to my termination date. Now I am being asked to train multiple different people for different groups how to run the various pieces of equipment that I was responsible for. Part of the stipulation of my severance pay is that I transfer knowledge if asked. Is there any legal action that I can take since they are not truly eliminating the job?
