Passed over because of a subordinate’s complaint.
I’m a Police Sergeant. A subordinate made a complaint against the Commander of my unit. Because of his complaint I was told by the Commander that “they” won’t promote me because it would look bad because of the complaints made by the subordinate. This would be a promotion based on merit.
