My supervisor degrades and yells at me and threatens to fire me.

I work for a large resort company in Naples seasonally and my direct supervisor or multiple occasions has left me under staffed, yelled at me , insluted me, placed wrongful blame on me and has threatened to fire me. My father was recently murdered and I asked for two days off to go to the funeral and was given those days. I was unable to afford the trip and instead used the days to morn. When I returned to work and told them that I did not use the days to leave I was wrote up for not letting them know I didn't go. I live in employee housing so this has put an insane amount of worry and stress upon me. I am worried that since this person has been with this company so long that I would be a victim of retaliation if I report it. What can I legally do to stop this harassment?

Unless his treatment of you is based on illegal discriminatory reasons -- generally race, color, national origin, gender, familial status, disability or age -- your complaint will not be protected and, as such, nothing could be done if you were terminated following the complaint. You could approach your human resources office to discuss your options, such as perhaps a transfer, but from what you have described, there is little protection under the law.
