Is what my manager doing illegal ?
I got hired at a retail store, I worked for 2 hours the day they made me sign my papers. I go into the store to buy something and my main manager said that she would call me on Monday to tell me when I work. I called on Tuesday and talked to the other manager who said I was supposed to work the monday that I was told I would get a call and that I had to call in and find out when I was working. I have never had a job where I call to find out my own start date. Now it's been a month and I have not started this job. Is this illegal or what??
