Is there a law regarding favortism in the office? Can it be stopped if it is being done in a professional work environment wherein the person who is being "favored" has no qualifications to fill the job she has been given?

favortism

There is no law forbidding favortism in the workplace. However, there are laws preventing discrimination against a person based upon their race, gender, age, disability, religious preference or national origin. So, if an employer favored one employee over another based upon one of those factors, the employee may have a claim.
