Independant contractor with a non-compete that has a possible loop hole?

I am an independent contractor with a non-compete that covers the whole metro area. I am a basic worker who isn't making enough money to support my family, but can't work outside of the company in the whole metroplex due to my contract. The company that I'm working for isn't giving me enough work to make a living and I cannot get my own as stated by my boss. Is the contract binding? I could easily get more work if I were on my own working out of my house.

My contract states there are 5 counties listed on my contract that I cannot work (****, ****, ****, **** OR ****.) Because it says OR is that a loop hole? Meaning it should only be one of those counties and not all(because if he meant all he would have said AND).Do I have a footing to go on?
