In which state should I hire an attorney
I have rec'd letter threatening injunctive relief and damages based on unreasonable non-compete contract. Ex-Employer based in NY, I reside in KY. From which state should I hire an attorney to represent my interests?

PS: Does the previous employer need to supply to me a copy of the actual contract with signature?
