Is it a "bonus" to foolishly get those to sign it but really something with a fluffy name that misguides the employee and therefore will make them in eligible for unployment?

Some of the question is missing so it's hard to give a good answer here. If you resigned and accepted some kind of payment in exchange for resignation then you probably do not have a claim for employment benefits.
