I was recently let got from a company do I need to repay my sign on bonus?
Exact wording of contract
"Jason, as discussed, you are eligible for a $4,000 sign on bonus. The bonus shall be be payable at $1,000 per week, starting with the first full pay week.
If you (the employee) leaves the company within 6months of employment, employee needs to refund the company bonus fully. If the employee leaves the company between the 6 and 12 months, the employee needs to a pro-rated part of the bonus"
typed exactly as the agreement is written. I was "let go" by the company just over the 6 month mark because I was unable to switch to a different shift.
