I signed an employment contract with a broker. In it, they provided the leads and I had a mentor which would get 35% of my commission until I sold 5 houses. I did not achieve this goal, so I was terminated. I was re-instated 1/2 days later because I was going to sell a home to a family member. Once terminated, I did not have access to any of the programs I needed to fill out my paperwork. The managing broker, instructed me to send info to an administrative person with the company. My question is, would the contract also be null and void, because I was no longer an employee? I have an e-mail from the previous managing broker stating I would get my full commission. The new managing broker has informed me my mentor is still entitled to the 35% of my commission. I had been terminated before I made the sale, the mentor was not involved in anyway with the sale, and this was my personal lead.
