I left my company (on good terms with notice) in December where I was a full time hourly employee. I could not transfer my position as there was not one available at the time. Now 5 months later I have accepted a part time position with them in hopes that it will eventually become full time once one of the full timers leaves. My question is, should my pay remain the same hourly rate it was when I worked for them before? Or are they allowed to pay me less. I understand I am getting less hours but shouldn't my hourly wage have stayed the same?
