I am on approved intermittent FML for rheumatoid arthritis, Can my employer dictate that I can use FML on certain days of the week?

Because the pain of rheumatoid arthritis is brought on by stress overload I experience flare ups which my require me to use my FML time any day of the week including some Fridays. My employer is stating that I can not use my FML on Fridays...is that legal if the reason I need to take FML is because of pain... how do I control when I will have the pain and flare ups which may or may not be on a Friday?
