How do I get my vacation pay out after termination if there is a discrepancy?

At my job, I get a vacation check for 3 weeks of vacation payed out to me at the end of each year. When I asked, my boss said if I left the company before my anniversary date that I would get my vacation check, just at a prorated amount. My PC said this as well. I was terminated 9 days before my anniversary date, and now the company is saying that my contract does not work like that and I will not get any money at all. Is there anything I can do? I have never been explained this contract, nor do I even remember signing it.
