Question regarding severance pay in Nebraska.

Hello,
I have a question regarding severance pay in Nebraska. I was recently laid off from my company. On Wednesday, February 14, 2018 I was given a letter from my company that stated due to current business needs my employment would end effective February 28, 2018. It stated my final paycheck would be on March 15 which would include: payment through February 28, payment for any accrued & unused PTO and deduction for current benefits and withholdings. Staff were told that since there was no work at the time of receiving our letters that we didn't have to come into the office for the remaining time of our employment. I filed an initial claim for unemployment on March 4th and received a determination letter yesterday that stated due to my my vacation pay I was disqualified from 3/4-1/17 (which I understand) but then also go a notice that stated I was disqualified due to my "severance" pay for 3/11-3/31/18. I was never under the impression I was receiving a "severance" package nor did the letter I receive indicate it was severance pay. Isn't severance pay normally based on a calculation of years of service, etc? I simply was paid my normal 2-week pay. If someone could please assist me.

Thank you,
