Has this Non-compete gone too far?
My employer wants me to sign a document stating if I leave the company I will not have ANY contact with their clients. I wouldn't mind if it said I couldn't speak badly about the company, etc. but to cut me off for 2 years from people I have known for many years - not even a cup of coffee! Can they restrict my actions once I leave the company? Can they fire me if I don't sign the document?
