For starters, I recently had a court date appearance on last Wednesday, 8/17/2016, at the US Courthouse here in Miami. I was issued a citation for intimidation by an VA Officer in reference to a police report filed by my immediate supervisor. My supervisor and 3 other employees have teamed up in an effort to have me possible serve prison time along with losing everything I have. Anyway, I had legal representation from a defense standpoint and the case was dismissed. From a Union standpoint, there are penalties for stated offenses. Making false or unfounded statements, which are slanderous or defamatory, about other VA personnel or officials. Intentional falsification, misstatement, or concealment of material fact in connection with employment or any investigation. What happens now that this case is dismissed??? From my standpoint, shouldn't these individuals be charged for falsely accusing me?? Can I sue for punitive damages, loss of pay, slander, libel, defamation of character, harassment, hostile work environment, anxiety, loss of sleep and exacerbation of my PTSD condition. Do I walk away and continue working in these conditions or can I take further action? Where does the VA play in this equation being that they are aware of this situation and should be held accountable for allowing this to continue. Can the VA be sued?? Thanks for your attention to this matter and I will be patiently waiting for a response.
