Employer taking charge back out of my check. Bartender in wi
I am a bartender that shares a register with 2 other bartenders. A customer split a bill between 2 different cards with different owners. But the same card was charged twice instead of the other card. The customer now wants a charge back for the second amount (half the bill) and my employer say it will come out of my check. We don't know who closed the tab or ran the credit cards but since I opened the tab under my name i take full responsibility. Is this legal?
