Employer Retaliation

On Nov. 17, 2010; I failed an Inspection 70%. My district manager was notified of the results. On Dec 1, 2010 she wrote me up for shift control. Then, she turnt around and wrote me for being tardy. I understand the shift control, but I had spoken to my immediate manager and explain that I have a second job (10am-3pm) and that I will be late by 15-30 min and ask would this be a problem he stated "no". For over 2 years I have been coming in late no managers ever complained and I never was written up for it. She (dm) mentioned it to me before but my immediate manager stated that I do not have to worried about it. On that same day she wrote me up her brother was in the restaurant fixing our icee machine. Me and other staff member began to discuss how she talks to individuals not showing any tact or professionalism. He then went back and told her what was said. How can me and my co-workers protect ourselves for retaliation? We work for a nationally known fast food chain. When she became my district manager back in June I told her that I was not properly trained and that in order for me to better myself in my position that I need to go to training session. She assumes that I know ever thing. I am not sure if she thinks she can talk to me and other staff in a down tone because she white and we are black. We are presently working at the restaurant is there anything we different to protect ourselves prior to leaving the job. Because, found out that our immediate manager does not have monthly meeting as she told he to, there things that should be known to us through him is not appropriately known until something negative happens. He tells us do not worry about it, but when comes around he tells her that it has always being a problem.
