Do I have a right to my USED Vacation Pay if my boss fired me a week later?

I relocateed to a new city in California for a position that was presented as a better opportunity. I was left without childcare sudden and unexpectedly and wasn't familiar with the area. I contacted my boss and requested to take all of my vacation hours (64 hours for employees with the company 2 or less years) while I find a daycare. She said it was OK and that I had 60 hours remaining. When the 60 hours was up, I still had not found a daycare as it is hard to find for children under two without paying a fortune. After my vacation, I requested more time, unpaid, of course and she said it was not a problem. A week later, I found a daycare. I texted her to let her know and received no response. I received a Letter of Termination in the mail, stating that I abandoned my job and I forfeited all of my Paid Time Off. In the Employee Handbook, it does say that if you quit without notice, you forfeit any UNUSED Paid Time Off. I am just confused because I did USE it and then she fired me... I did not quit. She did not pay me my Paid Time Off or my commission from the previous month.
