Do I have a case for wrongful termination?

I had been friends with a fellow manager during the duration of my employment. Recently, my husband and I split up. When this friend found out, he started to make advances both at work and off work. He became obsessed. I refused his many advances and indciated I only wanted to be friends. After he got the message, he started to be come very hositle towards me. He made rude comments about by dress and started to spread gossip throughout the office. He made a threat that he could no longer work with me and would do whatever he had to do. The individual was so obsessed his health was affected had to take a three week leave of absence. Upon is return he filed a complaint to the company about me stating that I had created a hostile work environment. About three weeks later I received a termination letter from my employer. When I asked for details, I was not given any. All I was told was that they had performed a thorough investigation. Never once was I questioned about the claim that was made against me.

You could have a claim for quid pro sexual harassment under title vii or the Florida civil rights act. You should file a charge with the eeoc and hire an employment lawyer.
